In 1997 Ad was honoured with the award of 'Pike Angler of the Year' by the Pike Anglers Club of Great Britain & Ireland. This was the first time that an angler from outside Great Britain and Ireland had received the award, which was in recognition of his contribution to the work of the club and to the pike conservation efforts in Western Ireland. Ad considers Ireland his 'second home' having visited some 44 times to fish for the various species to be found in this beautiful country. |
